BALLOONSSustainability & Natural Latex
Natural latex comes from a plant-based resource. Understanding its origin, processing and end of life helps distinguish natural rubber from fossil-based plastics and supports more informed choices.

The main commercial source of natural rubber is Hevea brasiliensis. A controlled cut in the bark collects latex, a milky emulsion produced by the plant, without cutting down the tree.
Over time, microorganisms, oxygen, heat, moisture and light help break down natural rubber. The rate varies with thickness, formulation and environmental conditions: biodegradable does not mean instantly compostable and never means littering is acceptable.
Every balloon should still be collected and disposed of carefully. Rebal communicates the natural origin of its raw material transparently, without confusing biodegradability, certified compostability and zero impact.
